It is very hard to eat a healthy lunch when here at work the other office girls (overweight) just induldge in anything. UGGH. While I eat a salad and a lean cuisine they are again getting fast food. Also dessert with ! It is hard to sit and smell the greasy fries and big burgers and stick to my healthy lunch. I will do it but still. Just venting before lunch.. thanks.

I totally feel your pain. I work in a school and there is food and snacks EVERYWHERE.
Friday they are having all you can eat pizza for lunch for $5
I just try to avoid the staff lounge at ALL COSTS

as I was sitting here this morning trying to make my 80 cal yogurt for breakfast seem filling my coworker walks in with mini cheescakes from sams club....ugh, seriously!? and they are offended when you decline! I feel your pain too.0

I know, and I sit in my office (I'm the director of a child care) which serves as our main office/breakroom/naughty kid room... and the girls bring in Mc Donalds with LARGE chocolate shakes and then cookies to eat besides. As one whole meal. I try to not sniff the office air, but if I do start wanting to eat that stuff, I look up the calorie count and remind myself that 1 big mac at 570 cals and one large chocolate shake at 700 cals is like my whole day in calories and TOTALLY not worth it.
Unfortuntaly, all this bad eating will catch up to them one day. Good for you for sticking to your salad and yogurts!!!!0 -
Same situation. I just repeat in my head "eat junk- look and feel like junk"0

I used to work full-time in an office last summer and EVERYONE would go out to eat or get fast food almost everyday! I brought my lunch and only went out maybe twice a month. First off, the MONEY how can anyone afford to eat out that much? I save so much money when I brown bag it for work! Sometimes they'd ask me and 95% of the time I'd say no thanks and I got a little bit of a rep for being snooty and not wanting to socialize.. not at all!! I just didn't want to eat out everyday!
My advise is to just ignore it, when you are looking thin and awesome, they'll wonder why they're still overweight!! People are so rude about food, it's crazy!0 -
Yes! I am a sales rep for a foodservice company so I am in kitchens every single day - it is so hard and tempting to be around the yummy food I see and smell. I was sampling some stuff the other day - frozen sherbet cups, and the lunch lady just like swallowed one down whole - I was like woah!!! Does she even know the nutritionals in that? I'm sure not, I can't just eat on a "whim" I need to prepare mentally for what I'm going to have that day.....so just wolfing down something that is not planned, for me is just unheard of.
Stay strong. I know, gross - but imagine how their poop smells.....it's gotta be sick from all the processed crap they eat!!!!! Feel better??0 -
I have the same problem at my work. My co-workers eat out almost everyday and it's burgers, fried chicken, subs, fries, dairy queen (my personal fav)! I brown bag it everyday except maybe once in a while I will get a chef salad and that is only if they are nice enough to tell me they are ordering food! They think I am being anti social too but I am social with them during other times of the day just not during lunch! If they can't understand that well too bad for them. I want to be healthy and lose weight, not clog my arteries!0

I find that if I get a real craving for some junk food I pop it into my daily calculator and 99% of the time I see it just isn't worth it!!!0

It is hard to keep on track with all those people eating **** for lunch, BUT they will stay heavy and when they are looking at you after you loose weight and your looking hot they will stop and kick themselves in the *kitten*. Just know at some point one or two or maybe three of them look to you for advice. And i bet they all envy you a little cause your strong enough to eat healthy while they don't.0

Just mentally picture yourself (inside and out) in one year and then picture them in a year while they keep eating that cr@p. You'll be healthier, more active, clearer skin, better everything...they'll still be overweight and miserable if they dont stop.
I've been at this for a while, and I find that just the smell of that stuff now makes me want to throw up. Cant even stand it.0 -
I feel ya but just think how terrible you feel after eating that junk. My husband eats whatever he wants so I haven't gotten used to saying no to junk .. I doesn't phase me. I am very determined. I always remember I don't want to feel sluggish and icky the next morning.0

A good friend of mine (with whom I also work) eats a TON when we go out, which isn't as often as every day or anything, but she really lustily enjoys the food and totally tries to get me to eat eat eat even though she knows I'm trying to cut down (and she supposedly is, too - she was just told by her doc that she's 'pre' diabetic!) I am torn between having a heart to heart before we go out next time, or just not going out with her any more.0
