I want to pick up some Greek Yogurt. My trainer told me it's so much better for you than the Dannon Light and Fit that I'm currently eating. It will keep me fuller longer, and has less added artificial sweetners.

What is your favorite kind of greek yogurt and what flavor do you reccomend me to try?
Thanks!

Chobani is my favorite... it is more calorie. I like the fruit ones the best... my favorite being the peach, pineapple and pomegranite! Hope you like it! It really does keep you full longer. :)

I have been eating a lot of Athenos brand blueberry flavor. I like that the blueberry is seperated from the actual yogurt....that way I can mix to taste. But, all the greek yogurt brands have all tasted great! Seem pretty similiar...at least with the limited varieties I find at my grocery store.
Oh and the Athenos is only 100 calories...some of the others are 130-160 that I have seen.

I really like Greek Gods brand. I tried the generic Kroger brand and it really wasn't good at all. Good luck!

I just tried Greek yogurt the other day! I got Chobani vanilla with honey. It was amazing! I think that's a great one to start with if you're just trying it! Not too plain but plain enough to get you started. I even put some Fiber One Honey Clusters Cereal in it and it was SO GOOD!! :D

I think I just got that vanilla and honey flavor - I have to try it!

I had *one* that I liked that I thought was maple before, but I can't find it again - thought it was chobani - am I imagining things?? lol!

I think Chobani and Fage are both very good. Fage is creamier and more dense. I eat them both, and buy whichever one is on sale. I avoid the flavored ones b/c that just adds a whole lot of sugar and I try to eat low carb. Sometimes I add a handful of raspberries or blueberries to it, if I'm in the mood for flavor. But the point of greek yogurt, besides the fact that it's better for you b/c it doesn't have all that artificial junk in it, is that it tastes so darn good you really don't need anything else in it. As for the fat free varieties of Fage and Chobani, here's the breakdown:

Fage is 90 calories per 170 gram container (about 6 ounces I think), zero fat, 7 grams of sugar, and 15 grams of protein
Chobani is 100 calories per 170 gram container, zero fat, 7 grams of sugar, and 18 grams of protein

Fage 2% is also amazingly good, if you want to splurge a little on more calories and fat. And then there's Fage Total full fat... but don't go there, LOL!

Fage strawberry 2%. Yum and Yum. I think it's only about 140 calories and it hits the spot.

This is exactly what I do. I just get the one the is the cheapest at the time, but hands down I prefer Fage. I mix mine up with a little honey, and some walnuts. It is my go to breakfast and keeps me full all morning.

I like 0% fat plain Fage greek yogurt . It has the lowest sugar. I do not like all the added sugar in fruit mixed yogurt. I add fresh strawberries, mangos, blueberries or bananas. I also add Stevia and maybe some walnuts. What ever I add evends up having less sugar calories than the fruit mixed types.
