Warning: WHINING lol

I recently bought a pair of pants at size 11 =) I was a 15..sometimes 17 before that.. Buuuutt now they're getting kinda baggy.. Idk if that means I've lost more weight or if they've just stretched out from wearing them so much (since theyre the only pants that fit me..or did fit me..so I wore them a lot)

Anyways, all my clothes are getting super baggy on me. I loooove that but at the same time that means that all the hard work and money I spent trying to build up my wardrobe this last year is a waste since nothing fits me lol. I can't wait till summertime but I realized that all the cute tank tops I have no longer fit either haha. Yes I know I'm whining since it is a good thing that I'm losing weight but it just sucks that I have no clothes to wear and no money to buy new stuff. I'm gonna try shrinking the shirts in the wash and same with pants but that only really works a little.

My friends having a birthday party tomorrow night and I wanna show off my new figure...Just have to find something that does that.. Unless I can get to the store tonight and keep it under like $20? haha

Find a friend that can sew. Maybe they can take in all your favorites.

There are high end consignment stores in the larger communities you might check into. I'm sure they'd love to have your larger stuff and you might be able to find a few bargains for yourself. I've heard some even pay cash up front - that would help with purchasing a few items now.

I'd suggest some "new to you" clothes during the transition. I picked up 3 pairs of pants for $4 or $5 each a couple weeks ago just to have something better fitting.

Gratz on needing it, but for me I'm waiting on "buying" the good stuff til a lot closer to my goal weight.

Hit up the consignment shops friend! Great deals on usually gently used clothing and they usually laid out way better than thrift shops.

Also, TONS of fall clearances right now. Hit up the clearnace rack and see if there are any store coupons in the adds. My hubby and I just got 2 button up shirts for him and 3 t shirts for me for only $33. Thats 5 tops total....

    Good luck!

great job on the weight loss! & until you lose all the weight you're aiming for, i buy one pair of good jeans as i go & aim for them just a little tight so they eventually get loose & then it's time for a new pair... also a cute belt helps & it's a good thing leggings are in style! you can buy a few pairs of leggings & cute tops for over them until you're ready for a new wardrobe! otherwise it'll get expensive baha

I have the same issue. Most jeans still fit ok since many had gotten too small but pretty all my work clothes are now starting too look like I'm wearing a parachute! It drives my wife crazy but I just don't want to spend the $, oh well, I guess it's time! :)

Do you have a place that buys gently used items? You can use the money to buy new clothes at the same place! Just a thought.

In addition to the thrift and consignment stores, you might check out stores like Ross, Marshalls, TJ Maxx. It's usually a little more work to shop at these places but it's often well worth it to your wallet. You might even try Old Navy, especially their clearance area since the seasons are changing. I've done shopping at Old Navy when they're having a good sale and walked away with 8 tops for under $50.
  • Thanks for all the tips everyone =)

I deffinately will try a consignment shop, we have plato's closets around here so that probably has some nice clothes.. Idk how much my clothes will be worth there though since I think they pay more for name brand stuff and I have cheapy stuff to begin with haha.
I would have someone take some stuff in but my shirts are made from really thin material and I had only paid a few bucks for them to begin with.. I think taking them in would be pointless for me.

Overall I'll definately try to sell them and then buy stuff from cheap places. I'm usually a pretty good shopper. A lot of my shirts I have I got from pacsun for like $3 a shirt =) They have amazing sales there at the end of seasons.

PLUS clothes tend to be cheaper when you're buying smaller sizes..or at least I find that. Mainly because I guess once things go on sale all the bigger sizes have been taken already

....Maybe I can convince my Mom into buying me some new stuff too :-P haha
