Question about calories and carbs

I was just wondering, how do you know how many calories are in a piece of fruit like apples and bananas, oranges etc?
Also when I am keeping track of my carb intake, how much is too much in one serving of food (if that makes any sense, it's hard to word my question) and how do I know how much carbs are in fruit and veggies as well?

each food will tell you on the box/can, etc. how much a serving is for that food.

As for fruit, have you looked on the database on here for that--it's on here. And, it tells you the serving size for that fruit as well on here.
