Actually when I working to reduce weight I always just made sure my food calories were at least 1200 calories....I looked at earned calories as a savings account which I refused to withdraw from. I found that by taking in at least 1200 food calories the program was satisfied and did not alert me that I was not eating enough. (even though my net was below 1200) As a result I lost my first 48 pounds over 12 weeks. ** Anyone wanting to view my daily food please feel free send me a friend request...I allow all friends to view my food diary0

on your home page it tells you how many net calories you should be consuming. It could be 1200 or it could be more. I know that mine is 1500 net calories. Just look at your page to get your net calorie number.0

For some, I'm sure, but it's highly personal.
People think too broadly on these things- if 3500 calories is a pound and your personal needs are 2000 calories a day then you'd lose a pound a week by having a 1500 a day net. In theory. Doing this I usually lose about 2 pounds a week. My daily calorie needs may be closer to 2,500 (according to personal tests), which would make sense on the 2 pounds a week.
So I'm happy consuming about 2,000 calories a day. I don't personally feel good if I go below 1,800. If I'm burning 2,500 a day it would make sense to be miserable below 1,800.
I've met women (tiny, tiny women) who only used 1,100 calories a day. I felt so bad for them, they had such hard tasks in front of them trying to lose 15 pounds or so.
1,200 calories a day blows my mind- I would feel like I'd eaten nothing all day! : )0 -
