I had the urge for fries but instead I bought Alexia spicy sweet potato fries and you can have 30 fries for only 130 calories. It was so good. I just wanted to share. I know you can make them but this was easier. lol. Just wanted to share!

    I love them. I put rosemary on them and dip them in non-fat sour cream.

    They are so better than regular fries. Make sure you get the right ones cuz some you can only have 12 fries.

    EASY! You just julienne sweet potatoes, toss them in some olive oil with salt, pepper and whatever herbs you like (rosemary, for example :)) and bake them on a cookie sheet in a hot oven. Take them out once or twice to turn them during cooking and just let them get a bit crispy. YUM!

    I'm really crappy at recipes. I know how but don't explain it well. Here is a proper recipe, with times and temperatures and everything!

    ervings: Serves 4
    Ingredients

    * 1 1/2 pounds sweet potatoes , peeled and cut into 1/2-inch-wide strips
    * 1/4 cup olive oil
    * 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
    * 1/2 tsp. dried Italian herb seasoning

    Directions
    Preheat oven to 425°. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil coated with cooking spray.

    Spread the sweet potato strips out onto the baking sheet in a single layer, coat with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and spices, turning them over to evenly coat on all sides with oil and spices.

    Bake for 30 minutes, turning every 10 minutes with spatula. Serve warm.

    You're not dumb! It just means to cut into thin strips.
  • You can also do parsnips the same way as the recipe given...very good. I actually like the sweet potatoes and parsnips better than white potatoes.

    Be careful cutting the sweet potatoes. They are really hard when they're raw and you will need a good, sharp knife and a really stable surface.

    My favorite is cut the sweet potato in strips, toss in olive oil and a hot spice, then squeeze lime juice. Then put on a shallow cookie sheet and roast in oven. Might squeeze lime after wards.
  • BUMP!!! Thanks for all the delicious recipes, tricks and advice.....looking forward to trying them :-)
  • WELCOME TO MY WORLD! my son lives off of these.
    I prefer these one to OreIda.
