1200 calories may be extremely low and especially since you are doing all of that exercise. Check your BMR and definitely eat your exercise calories.
It is a misconception to eat so few calories. I have been steadily losing for months and I eat the minimum of 1450 calories a day. (and that is only on the days I don't exercise)0 -
Ummm....maybe 1200 calories is too low for you.
I was automatically set to 1200 and had to manually change it, only then did I actually start losing.
You aren't horribly overweight for your height either. Check your BMR and see where it says you should be.
Hun, I've been here for 6 months and only lost 6 lbs....trust me...I know the frustration. It's a numbers game though. Gotta figure out just the right combo for you. Which looks like you need WAY more....also, are you eating your exercise calories at all?0 -
I have to agree check your BMR, you don't seem to be eating enough. You don't have a huge amount of fat to lose, so your body is clinging to what it has because you aren't feeding it enough Up the calories, and make sure you eat your exercise calories. One question, with all that exercise, are you really fit ? remember muscle is heavier, yet smaller are you sure you need to lose that much, everyones BMI is different depending on their fitness level.0

I would also agree. For the first few months I was on this thing, I was eating only 1200 calories. Not only did I not lose weight, but I gained a few pounds. I added more calories(1340 on non-workout day) and I've lost 10 pounds since then.0

I just have to add 1 more voice to the choir of "eat more calories". But make sure they are whole foods, high-quality calories. I had a 5 week plateau and broke it by increasing my calories to 1400. 1200 is a bare minimum for women. Try that and eat your exercise calories, and you should see a loss!!0

natasha,
thank you for responding to my post. What are exercise calories? I have checked my BMI and it recommends 1284 calories. I have gone around 1400 calories twice during that period of time. But what are exercise calories? Does this mean I need to keep a better record of my exercising and then up the caloric intake accordingly? thanks. Theresa0 -
