Thanks to working in a high rise downtown, a fire drill meant 7 minutes of stairs AFTER my workout today! Luckily I only had 11 flights to take. The building goes 28 stories, and yes, those at the top must come down the stairs too!! :noway:

WOOHOO for the extra 80 calories I burned!!

HAPPY THURSDAY, Y'ALL!!

I  FALL!!

I wish we could! For security and safety, they only leave the 16th and 28th floor stair well doors unlocked so if you want to take the stairs, you have to take them half or all the way! If there was an outlet to my floor, I'd probably do it. I love a good challenge, especially one you can't back down from like that.
  • Hi working in a highrise office building myself I'm curious where you calculated the calorie count for going downstairs. I'm on the 9th floor & going downstairs sounds like a great place to start.
    thanks

On the exercise tab here, I searched up "stairs". I used the generic stair count, based on time, not the "jogging upstairs".

I never thought about logging my flights of stairs on here... I'm going to count them tomorrow because I take the steps everyday, granted it's not 11 flights:happy:
  • Great, thanks for the tip
