Healthy Banana Cookies (Makes 6) 61 calories each
Ingredients:
- 1 medium banana
- 2/3 cup dry oatmeal
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1 small fuji apple, peeled and chopped
- 2 Tbsp Unsweetened applesauce
- 1/2 tsp all spice
Directions:
1. In a medium sized bowl, mash the banana with a fork.
2. Measure in the oatmeal and baking powder. Stir well.
3. Add the applesauce and all spice.
4. Add the chopped fuji apple and mix until combined.
5. Let set 15 minutes while oven preheats (350 degrees).
6. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto a greased or nonstick cookie sheet.
7. Flatten out the cookie dough balls into large circles.
8. Bake for 20 minutes or until done.
Note: These are a naturally sweet cookie, but because they contain no sugar, they are by no means a perfect replacement for banana cookies with full fat butter and sugar. (I actually think they are better though).

All spice is a spice you put in pumpkin pie and stuff. You could use something different...Like cinnamon : )0 -

Yep. All spice is just similar to a combination of cinnamon, nutmeg and other common spices in the kitchen. You can replace it with just cinnamon or even pumpkin pie spice.0 -

allspice is actually a spice all on it's own... used alot in jamaica (where it grows) .. as others have said it very much tastes like a mix of other spices *S*.. it is from an evergreen plant.

I bet you could.
The original recipe actually called for canola or vegetable oil which you could use, but it would be higher in calories.
Let me know how they turn out if you use the yogurt. I LOVE GREEK YOGURT!!0 -
