Upper back and shoulder pain... on the treadmill??

I consistently experience upper back and shoulder pain when I'm on the treadmill or just going for a long walk. Anyone have any thoughts on why and or how to reduce it? Not sure if it's poor posture, or muscles in that area being weak, or what... does this happen to anyone else or am I a freak? Seriously, my upper back hurts more than my ankles or calves after an hour on the treadmill, and that's not to say I didn't work hard!! Weird...

I was experiencing pain in my right buttocks when walking on the treadmill. I consulted my physiotherapist about this. After watching me walk on the treadmill she corrected my poor posture and I haven't had problems since.0

May want to make sure you have good shoes with lots of cushion and support. When you run, try to keep your shoulders in line with you hips. Hope that helps!!0
