I'm stuck and can't seem to loose any more. I wanted to loose 20. I'm at 15 well I was this morning I weighed and I gained a lb. I'm not eating any different. Still staying at 1200 or under and exercising. This week I have slacked on exercise due to working to many hours. . Any one have any clue how to boost the weight loose.

You hit that dreaded platau we all eventually hit. :grumble:  Change up your workout routine if it's the same one you complete every day. Sometimes a small change will make a difference. How long has it been?0

I've heard members say that sometimes if you're stuck, it's ok to go alittle OVER on your numbers, it gets the metabolism going. (or SOMETHING like that!)0

Hm...1200 cals a day...that seems low....do you eat back your excercise calories as well?? Drinkin lots of water? Could be lots of reasons for gaining a lb., our bodies change daily, well, even through out the day ......
So do I understand that you had 20 to lose and have now lost 15? So you are working on your last 5? It would make sense it would now really slow down....many folks find the last bit of weight to come off slowly.......... just make sure you're eating enough and getting back those excercise cals and lots and lots of water.....:drinker:0 -

Once again, I'll say this--1200 is too low! That is an extreme amount of calories that should only be used by someone with alot to lose who is under doctor's supervision!
You need to increase your calories for one. You have probably put your body into starvation mode.
For two, those last few pounds are going to take a while to come off--don't expect it to happen overnight or even in a month or two.
Especially taking into consideration your age, sex, and stage of life. For us "older" women, weight loss is difficult to say the least!
I've got a heck of alot more to lose than you and even my doc said 1200 was WAY TOO LOW and to aim for NO MORE THAN 1 POUND A WEEK--and that's when I still have 80 pounds left to lose!
At your stage, you should be looking at losing NO MORE THAN 1/2 POUND A WEEK!

I agree. Too low. Give your metabolism a boost, keep exericising and up your calories to 1500. To be healthy and keep it off 1/2 a pound a week is very reasonable (not to our litte brains sometimes mind you) and remember it will stay off. Think about it, you cannot continue to eat 1200 calories for the rest of your life. So look at how many calories you will need to maintain your ideal weight once you get to where you want to be, then deduct a couple hundred per day from that. Remember slow and steady wins the race. Concentrate on how good and healthy you feel, and what you have acheived instead of "I am a loser, I can't lose that final 5". We always look at the negative instead of the positive. It will come off one ounce at a time.0
