I am new to this whole calorie counting thing. I am not however; new to trying to lose weight. I have tried and failed many times now. I think maybe if I had some support it could make a difference. So I thought I would introduce myself.
My name is Christi. But most people call me Lulu. I am a college student studying economics. I weigh 270 lbs, that is not an easy admission let me tell you. There is a lot of concern that my weight gain may be due to a hereditary thyriod problem. But I feel I should give this diet thing one solid and long term try before I put all the blame on something else. Because I hate to admit it but even with condition some of this weight is self inflicted.
I am a very easy going person, i like to go to concerts, and movies. I was born on a residential island in the Keys, but moved north a few years ago. I have a few very close friends. All of which are very skinny. And It tends to be embarrassing to communicate my weight concerns with them. Because they really have no idea what I am going through. I just think that i could really use a few weight loss friends to help me stay on track. And I could be the same for you.

you will find the calorie counter is very easy to use once you get the hang of it. Play around with it and the site. Ask a lot if questions and read the responses, most are point on others just a crock, just remember you are doing this for you and only you. Can't do it for any other reason0

you can add me if you like. I never even tried to loose weight before this website. I thought calorie counting was for the birds  But then I joined curves and after 2 months I only lost 2 pounds, and I knew I couldn't live with only lossing a pound a month so I looked on the internet for a calorie counter and found this site and it is so easy! I have actually reached my goal weight after being here only 9 months and am now in the maintence stage, but I will cheer you on and encourage you as much as you need0

Congratulations! You've taken the first step to a challenging journey! The weekly results will help build confidence. This site is the best I've seen; I've reseached numerous sites. Only you can make the change; no one else can do it for you. I started at 297; I know it's hard but well worth it. Regarding the thyroid, if you can afford it, you should get a blood test of your thyroid levels. Just so you know. I was diagnosed with Graves disease which caused HYPERthyroid syndrome. Hyperthyroidism typically causes one to lose weight; I was the exception...I gained weight. Plus, I'm sure my eating habits didn't help either. Thyroid issues are not something to play around with...it can be very hard on your metabolism (Hypo or hyper). I would love to walk this journey with you; I feel your pain. I will friend you.0
