Interrupted Nights

I was never a big water drinker. And now, I am trying to get 8 glasses in each day. I used to sleep through the night. I am finding that I have to go to the bathroom not once, but sometimes twice through the night. And if it's later, I can't get back to sleep. Anyone have some advice? Sometimes I'm up at 5, when I should be sleeping until at least 7:30.

Try to get most of your water drinking done before 2pm. Thats what I do and it seems to help

I'll try, but I have a hard enough time getting enough period. Thinking about setting my phone alarms to keep me on track. I will start earlier though, try to finish up earlier.

I start every day with a big glass of water. I just chug one as soon as I get up, even before my coffee. Then, after my coffee I'll have another one to freshen my breath. Bam, two down before 9 a.m.

I'll start in the morning...in the meantime, I still have 2 to go tonight. Maybe I'll just go for one, make a fresh start tomorrow

I have a big 16oz bottle that I keep at my desk and sip on it throughout the day. I typically end up refilling it four to five times throughout the day and I quit drinking at five pm unless I work out. I vet up once at night to go.

I couldn't tell your current weight from your profile.

So I don't know whether this is good news for your or bad news.
(With only 3 lbs left to lose I"m guessing it's good news)

I'd gone to a nutritionist some time back and she said 1 cup of water for every 25 lbs of body weight.
(This made sense to me, It seems silly that 8 cups of water a day is a one size fits all requirement.)

I've also heard (I have not verified this with a reliable source) that drinking all that water stretches our your stomach. And that make you feel more hungry more often.

So unless you are over 200 lbs that be less than the 8 cups you are currently trying to consume.

It could be the difference between sleeping thru the night or not.

Thanks for that. When you mention the stomach stretching, I've mentioned before, I feel like a frog by the end of the day! So, I'll promise myself 6 glasses, not worry about the 8 for now.
