Vitamins mold?

Okay, so I had some Women's One a Day and Calcium suppliments in a plastic baggy in my room, and they kinda got forgotten about for a while (and my room is pretty damp/humid).
So durring some housework today I uncovered the baggy, but it looks like the Women's One a Day molded? Is that possible?
They smell a little off and have some dark spots on them.
I really don't want to throw them out. :frown:
Are they still safe to take?

Throw them away and dont take chances....0 -
Depending on their age, they may be expired and do you no good anyhow.
I wouldn't take them, especially if it appears it might be black mold. Very unhealthy.0 -
When in doubt...TOSS THEM OUT0

OH MY GOODNESS...THROW THOSE AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0

See we all agree. To the trash with them.0

Yeah, that's what I figured. :frown:
*sigh* I just feel so stupid for letting them turn bad. :grumble:
They are only like a year old.0 -
Next time, take them before they get yucky.0

I'd toss them, but they might make a good snack for that pesky neighbor's dog....0

it's possible that you may have had something on your hands when you put them IN the baggie. so THAT is possibly what "molded". especially with the dampness and humidity.0

You'll notice that vitamins are always in an opaque container, or if in glass, it is frosted dark brown. Vitamins are sensitive to the light (sun light and artificial) and are sensitive to humidity. It is best to keep vitamins in their appropriate bottle until you need to take them!

I'm glad you decided to throw them out.
You wanted a vitamin, not penecillin.:sick:0
