    trail mix :)
  • Make some fresh popcorn, not microwave...unless that is all you have.
  • I love the Bora Bora bars. You can get them at Costco (all natural, organic). They range from 180 - 200 calories and they are pretty filling :)

Avoid carbs and fats. They're both burned for energy but if they aren't used they get stored as fat. Carbs also make your body release insulin, which prevents the body from burning fat. In general, you shouldn't really eat after dinner. If you normally have calories left over after dinner try working them into meals and snacks earlier in the day.

My evening snack is peanut butter mixed with cocoa powder. I like Jif Natural and Hershey's Special Dark baking cocoa. Have also used Smucker's Natural though it's not quite as sweet as the Jif (have added a touch of honey to sweeten it). It's about 200-220 calories for 2 tbsp. of pb and a tsp. of cocoa. Satisfies my salty and sweet cravings--plus there's "good" fat to fill you up.
