Can I sill count it as water even though I added a drink mix to it (i.e crystal light, kool-aid, Arizona tea, etc.)?
or is it considered just a drink since it's not pure water anymore?
*note....
this is strictly the powder that says you pour into a water bottle. no bags of tea, no powder you scoop out, etc.

    Anywho, I'd still count it as water. I mean, it's not like you're putting so much mix into it that it's no longer water, right? I'll even count Diet Snapple in a bottle as water. It's the main ingredient in it, so why not? Some people might say no, but I personally drink 18+ cups of actual water aside from non-pure water, so IMO, it doesn't hurt to log it as such.

    Yes.

    On a very basic level anything liquid, coffee, coke ect, count as 'water' as they do hydrate you. But pure water is far better for you that anything with additives, fake sugar or caffeine.

    Personally I avoid as much as possible anything with artificial sweeteners as I find they trigger my sweet tooth and appetite.

    i only log it in water if it is just water, everything else i log it with my food.

    If it's 0 calories then you can log it as water! Some people say that you should log only half of it as water, meaning you would have to drink 2 cups to equal 1 cup of water. On Weight Watchers they say to do this for coffee and tea, so you could do this for your mixes as well, especially if they have calories in them! Liquid is liquid and it does actually help go toward your water intake.
  • I count it as water. If you drink 300mls of water with 30 mls of diluting juice or whatever, it's still water you're drinking, no magical chemistry happens to remove it's H2O. So I log the water and the 30mls of diluting juice (in my case 90 cals!) You get water from your food too, you can't measure it because you can't measure it, but it's still water. HTH

    It's still water, but I wouldn't log it as part of your daily water count. You've added artificial sweeteners and who knows what else to it so I'd personally log it under snacks (or drinks or whatever heading you have for non-water beverages in your log). I only count regular, unaltered water in my daily water count. Even the very rare occasions I do make a glass of Lipton decaf black iced tea, I put it in my log since it has a potassium count to it.

    Crystal light is in the food data base so that you can add the 5 cal. I add mine under my snacks. It still counts as water, If you made Koolaid and drank it, it would count as water, you would have to add the Koolaid to the food part in order to get the calorie count.
    If I didn't add crystal light I wouldn't never drink enough water.
