I am seriously considering getting one.

I use a polar FT40F and am very happy with it (arrived a few days ago). I'd say it's quite important to get one that allows you to enter/calculate/test your VO2 max. The polar FT40F does that. Gives better calorie estimates.

I don't think you'd regret the purchase. I panicked and tried to cancel the transaction before it arrived and get the money back, but it was already too late and they were dispatching it. I'm REALLY glad I didn't cancel it now.

I've used the Bodybugg and I liked it. I'm considering buying the newer model. I've also used the Nike+ Sportsband. It also tracks Distance ran, pace, calories, time. (Too bad it just died on me... Had it for a few years...)

    God Bless!

I went out and first bought one made by Sportline but it didnt have the chest strap so i tried it out and it gave me 488 calories burned doing 35 mins on my treadmill walking at 3.0 on incline. I thought that seemed pretty high so everyone was suggesting that i buy the one with the chest strap.

I returned this one and looked aorund for one with a chest strap - found the polar ones but the ones i could find ranged from $129 to over $200 ... i didnt want to spend that much but was just about to when the guy said we have one on clearance weed need to get rid of as they have the Polar ones now and are clearing out the old stock of reeboks - it was a reebok one with chest strap - originaly price of $80 on clearance for $34!

I jumped all over that and used it last night and got a reading of 415 calories burned for the exact same treadmill routine i did the day before.

I guess this one is more acurrate as it has the chest strap and ask me to put in gender, age, height, weight ect and the strapless sportline one did not.

It is also showing approx 100 more calories burned then my treadmaill itself shows i am burning.
