Hello all of my new MyFitnessPal friends. My name is Rashannah and I am 20 years old. I have a two sons Jayden and Devyn. They are the loves of my life. In high school I was in amazing shape. I played pretty much every sport offered from the strereotypical basketball to the least cross country. I got pregnant at 16 and this cut out tons of exercise I would normally get but because I was in shape I only gained weight at the end of the pregnancy and it was minimal. My son jayden came out very healthy. The second time around I was a lot less active although I worked so this resulted in some complications during my pregnancy, but yet my son was born very healthy.

My goal is to simply get back into shape. I honestly just need tons of toning. I have used MyFitnessPal religiously. I check things before I eat them and have seen results. The working out seems to be the hardest part. I work up to 60 hours a week and in hair school as well as raising two boys so in my free time I would much rather sleep. But I am determind to meet my weight loss goals. Thank you so much for your views in advance.

I hardly excercise at all (just a few minutes a day, at home, a minute or two at a time). And Ive continued to lose weight. Im personally going to loose a bunch of weight first, then worry about excercise later to tone more. I need to focus on diet and sticking with it, and not exausting myself with new diet, new routine, new excercising, etc all at once, its setting myself up for failure i feel.

I think you should exercise as you go, increase your workout as your energy level increases. Even just a nightly walk is a start. Also, toning as you go is probably a really smart idea. You don't want to lose a bunch of weight and then have flab issues.

I can see where Anna is coming from too.. If you are a person who gets overwelmed then you should gradually add diet plus exercise to your routine. I am betting that as a mother of two, hairdresser, and full work schedule a little chaos in your life won't overwhelm you. :)

I use to go back to bed for one hour every day after my kids got on the bus, then I would get up and go to work. I really thought that extra hour of sleep would help me make it through the day. However, I have added Vitamin B to my day and I am dressed and ready for the gym as soon as the kids are gone. I realized today that my 40 minute workout was a breeze. That is what I mean by increasing energy levels. I am ready to work out longer and I look forward to it. Plus my stamina through out the day has increased.

Stick with it girl, You will love the results!

The first week or so I just focused on eating better. After that I started exercising some and have gradually been adding to the amount of exercise I'm doing. I started out with cardio and honestly could only do a 5 or so minutes on the elliptical (about 1/4 mile - I tend to measure in distance, not time) now I'm doing abut 40 minutes (2 miles) and now that I have gotten more used to the cardio I am trying to add some strength training a few times a week.
