I did this a montho or 2 ago, and got tons of great advice... BUT I thought we could try this again, as I'm in a plateau right now and I weigh in Wednesday and am hoping to BUST through, even with a few rough diet days this week! Plus, I'm sure everyone else in the community wouldn't mind tons of great advice as well. So everyone... what is your #1 (or more, if you're willing to share!) BEST diet, exercise, or nutrition advice??

Repeat a Daily verbal (out loud) affirmation in the mirror. Trains your subconcious to follow through with the rest (creating your own reality so to speak). My experience is that it is amazingly powerful. State that 'I am xxxxx" not that 'I will"0

I noticed one thing that worked really well for me is trying to vary your food intake / exercise as much as possible.
Like, rather than doing 30 minutes of exercise a day, try an hour one day, none the next, maybe some next day, etc.
It seems like my body gets used to exercise and food intake if I keep it the same, so I stop losing weight, but when I change things up, it's like my metabolism gets confused, and I'll start losing again!0 -
Good advice so far, but there was such a huge response last time... where's more advice?? :happy:0

The best diet exercise I've ever gotten came from a weight loss doctor who said to learn moderation in all things, but___. Since this is a friendly site I will not fill in the blank. But, the one thing has nothing to do with food or exercise.
This doctor felt you just have to learn how to live on how many calories your body uses to weight what you want to weigh.

I can only give advice on what has worked for me. Truly the MFP app is amazing and I constantly tell anyone who wants to lose weight to use this thing for a few weeks. Another huge help to me and it makes the app easier to use, I've been eating a ton of froozen dinners from Healthy Choice, Smart Ones, and Lean Cuisine. I have no time or desire to cook so these come in handy like you wouldn't believe. Plus all you do is scan the package's barcode with this app and BAM! You've added your whole meal in under 5 seconds. It's the easiest way I've ever lost weight.0

Really good exercise advice:

Really good nutrition advice:
First figure out a PROPER caloric intake, then focus on sufficient protein consumption

besides the obvious one of eating whole, real foods as much as possible0
