What you are doing is fantastic!!! Having been a child that struggled with weight and parents that were large it is very hard. Now that I am an adult I still struggle and also decided to make a change for myself to show my 9 year old that health is important!0

Hello and welcome! This is a great place to be. When it comes to young children my suggestions would be to add as much natural unprocessed whole foods as possible. Lots of vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes, lean meats, eggs. She is still growing and developing and needs lots of good nutrition for her body and her brain as well. Prepare food together with your daughter. Take old favorite meals and try to rework them and make them lighter and healthier. Stay active together, go for walks, bike rides, hiking.
Good luck. I wish you all the best.0
