S.B.F. Challenge. . .October 19

Morning. . .

Woke up with a nasty cough and runny nose. Ick. I think it's my annual "the weather is changing" gunk.

Today, I'm going to the gym on my way home from church (the joys of wearing a choir robe is that you can wear your workout clothes to church) and then probably home for the rest of the day on the sofa recovering from my evening out last night. I'll probably also spend some time in the steam room trying to destroy the above-mentioned gunk.

Mary, you are a badass.

so, today is:
gym w/ elliptical
water, vits, etc.
and my pushups (which I didn't do yesterday. . .oops.)

Take care of yourselves!:flowerforyou:

Ahhh, getting up at 8 again. Sleep is gooood.

I'm not sore. Had a Charlie Horse last night, but that was all the ill effects. Did an hour of restorative postures and that helped quite a bit.
I can't remember the last time I ate so much. It was weird. I would have a hard time eating, but I was hungry within a hour. Here's the low-down:
breakfast: 1 cup cereal, 3 cups skim milk, coffee
snack 1: bag of trail mix - was so sweet (dried fruit) didn't want dessert immediately after lunch
lunch: artichoke manicotti and salad - didn't finish all - was paying attention to hunger
snack 2: 3 cookies - so sweet tooth came back - there's a new place in town where they make cookies to order - you order a size, type of dough, add ons (candies, nuts), and they bake it right there.
dinner - stuffed portobella (stuffed with ricotta & feta and pine nuts then breaded and pan fried) with couscous and steamed veggies
snack 3: 1 more cookie (this time with Chantilly cream) - from place above - told some friends about it, so we went again - and the employees recognized me!

That's the food porn for the day. That was two of my favorite dishes from two of my favorite restaurants - not something I do often.

Today, I'm doing the Buddy walk (1 mile  ) and maybe some other walking, but nothing intense.

Does getting mad at your hubby count for a calorie burn? :grumble: Oh well. We'll get over it. We always do.
I didn't work out today. I cleaned more but didn't burn off the pizza I had for lunch. Hubby and I split the personal pan and breadsticks (we were still talking then:laugh: ), so it was better than eating it all by myself. Not really hungry for dinner. Don't feel like cooking. I need to make something though, so my hubby has something for lunch tomorrow.
Just wanted to check in. I will be gone most of the day walking tomorrow but I will try to post if I can.

Hello all! We had a good time in Massachusetts - the weather was beautiful (if cool), and the foliage was really pretty. Family was nice and generally low on the stress factor. Hooray.

Mary, you're a badass! Congrats. Viv, hope you feel better soon! Vestiges of my cold are STILL hanging on, but I am almost totally better. Back to workouts tomorrow.

Sorry about your fight, MM. :frown: I hope it doesn't keep you down for too long. We are here if you need to vent!

Mary-badass indeed :drinker: Melissa- with a hug, and everyone else who is battling the seasonal grunge, get well soon. Our little guy has the snots and was running a fever last night, but otherwise acts fine. Guess we'll see how he fares this week.

I am amazed, I unintentionally hit my cals dead on! :noway: And I ate junk at a festival, so still not sure how I managed.

We have the worlds cheesiest festival here, the woollyworm festival (yeah the brown & black catepillar that supposedly dictates the winter forecast based on their coat colors). It draws a crowd of 10,000+ to our little one-light town! So, we went today and I ended up carrying/piggy-backing our son all day. I never knew 30lbs could feel sooooo heavy!

I got home exhausted & famished, so I grabbed the bag of fruit loops instead of potato chips! Yay! My big step was on the road yesterday, I had panera salad & soup for lunch and chick-fil-a salad for dinner. I usually eat garbage since I don't normally eat at those places, but I didn't!
