Hi everyone,

I'm pretty sure I have tried every existing diet in the past 10 years. Except for the one called 'counting calories'. I have started today and I hope to lose at least 15 kilos (about 30 pounds) before my holiday in September. It would be so great to fit into all my summer clothes again!

Me in a nutshell: 32 year old HR officer from Amsterdam, the Netherlands; married to the best guy in the world. Addicted to work, zumba and creating snail mail (letters and postcards). I hope to be able to run 5K again without destroying my knees. I love trying new recipes and new restaurants. Wine is my weakness.

I hardly believe I will ever succeed losing 20+ kilos but I have decided to take this calorie counting thing one day at a time. So this was my Day One. I wonder what tomorrow brings!

@ vodkaswigger: Thanks and good luck to you too!

I'm still exploring MFP but what from what I've seen so far I'm pretty confident that this might be the trick for long term weigth loss. Here goes Day Two!

i was sceptical when i first started but im down 17lbs since january so it does work! stick with it! ive learnt loads about myself and my eating habits! and am much more healthier than i have ever been. doesnt feel like a diet to me as i eat everything i want in moderation. that for me is the key to successful weight loss and maintainance. i cant go on a restrictive diet as i always give up! feel free to add me if you want
