Hi!!!! hope u r well. I've done my first weigh in and lost half a pound. Is this a bad amount to lose for the first week? I was hoping to lose more as in the past i've always had quite a big weight loss in my first week. I've stuck to my cals and done some exercise and was hoping for more, Fingers crossed it will be better next week. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks lots xx

Dont be disheartened by a 1/2lb loss! It's still a loss and it's going in the right direction which is the main thing!
Your body is probably getting used to your new lifestyle - so give it a chance and Im sure next week you will start to see a bigger decrease.
You should still be proud - any loss is GREAT!
Feel free to add me as a friend - it helps so much having people on here to speak to etc...... everyone is FANTASTIC, if it werent for this site, I wouldnt have lost my first 10lb.
Best of luck on your journey xxx0 -
Any weight loss is good in my book, but I to would have thought it would be a little more. Have you been staying under your calorie goal and drinking at least 8 glasses of water. I find the water really helps.
How about exercise .... are you doing that ?
Congrads on the loss and I am sure it is just the beginning to a new you!0 -
Even though it can seem discouraging, the slower you lose the weight the better chance of it staying off! it has taken me about 1 1/2 years to lose my weight so far, but I've slowly completely changed my lifestyle along with it . . . so I know that I will NEVER go back.
Working toward a healthier lifestyle is what matters ultimately, so no matter what that darned scale says you are taking steps in the right direction . . . so never a bad thing.0 -
you may have lost more, your number body weight has alot of factors that can change for the better or worse. Also make sure you weigh at the same time every week, i do it as soon as i wake up. Keep in mind its not a race, its a lifestyle. Btw great job a half a pound doesn't seem like much, but you are on your way keep it up!!!0

No weight loss is bad! Go over your food diary and find out your trigger foods and time of the day. 1/2 pound a day would be 2 pounds a month....what is your goal.0

Any weight loss is good. Did you take your measurements? You may have lost inches and that is ultimately what is going to count, how you look and feel in your body. If you haven't yet measured I would strongly suggest you do. Keep up the great work and stay motivated. You can add me as a friend if you wish. I am new to this as well.0

Don't be disappointed! I've heard so many people say they lost 4lbs their first week so I was very excited... weigh in 3 weeks later (yesterday) & I was 2lbs heavier... I decided to weigh again today & I dropped 4.7 lbs! Everyone's body is different... keep working hard and fighting through temptations & you will eventually see a weight loss. You may also want to measure - I had a 1.5inch drop in my hips & 1 inch drop in my waist before I lost a single lb! GOOD LUCK & feel free to add me as a friend.0

It is the little accomplishments that add up.
...If you are Working Out too, you are probably adding muscle. Remember... Muscle weighs more!
Keep going!
It is the journey... that pays off... not just scale!0 -
