I get so HUNGRY when I get PMS. Food is all I think about. Is there any tips you ladies have for keeping your diet when you're tired, hungry and crampy?

Oh man, I am dealing with this right now! I'm already at my calorie intake for the day and its only 4! Geesh. Anyways, i like apples and peanut butter. And I recently switched to FitNutz Peanut butter and it saves me 100s of calories.0

lots of water, tea, and sweet fruit (like grapes or melon), and a piece of dark chocolate when I have the sweet craving!0

Agree with the water & light hot chocolate. Also try animal crackers! Slightly sweet to curb the craving but not rediculous in calories or hugely addicting.0

I try not to keep snacks in the house. when i do, I try to buy single serving packages to keep the portion under control.0

fiber 1 brownies only 90 calories0

I eat pickles to combat the salty/sour cravings, then I suck on Jolley Ranchers to combat the sweet cravings that follow. I also eat celery just to go through the eating motions if that's all it is.
You gotta remember too that it's onyl a few days a month and if some extra calories help you to not go crazy, just eat.0 -
Fage Fat-Free Yogurt with Sugar Free Syrup (Torani Raspberry is my favorite!) Add .25 cup Go Lean Crunch and you have a great snack! If you keep the Fage to 3oz (1/2 of a small) the total is less than 100 calories and very filling! (Yep, that was yesterday for me...) Other than that, lots of fiber and protein to stay full....0

Skinny Cow Chocolate Truffle Ice Cream Bars, only 100 calories, and oh so delicious.0

OK, so the first step is to keep unhealthy snacks out of the house. I try to do this all month long, because its just easier to have self-control while shopping than while choosing what to eat at home.
But unhealthy snacks aren't the only problem! Last month I had a giant sack full of raw cashew nuts in the house when the TOM munchies reared their ugly head. I devoured thousands of calories worth - it was a disaster.
This month I decided to TOM-proof my house. This meant not only not having junk food in the house, but also getting rid of ALL calorie dense food. So I let myself eat when the desire came, but because I was eating oatmeal, veggies and eggs, I only ended up going over by 200 cals or so. I count that as a great success!
As for not giving in to the desire to eat, for me that just isn't possible. Luckily it is only a 24 hour thing for me...0 -
I am with Carrielevans! Work out more!!! 1. when yo are working out you aren't munching and 2. gives you some wiggle room for those munchies!
That is what is saving me yesterday and today! When I get home (since I coulnd not at lunch today) I am getting in some cardio to make room for some munching....I was halfway through my calories before lunch today because of PMS!0 -

Traditional medicines has a PMS tea (I get it at whole foods, but I've seen it at target. It's amazing! Helps with munchies, bloating, and general crabbiness.
Food wise, I like kale & fruit smoothies and talenti bars ( they're chocolate covered)0 -
