any other Vegans??

Good morning!!! I am a new fitness pal girl from Canada and I LOVE this program! I am also a Vegan and find it difficult to find others like me, I DO NOT eat any milk, cheese, or any products made from animals.. I would LOVE to hear from others that have suggestions, tips, etc for me to stay on track,, my weakness is snacking in the afternoon and before bedtime!!!

    I'm vegetarian. Will I do?

    I just made a divine white bean hummus spread. The recipe actually came from a bistro here in town, and the chef has recently gone vegan! I'm such a happy girl! Anyway, the spread is white beans, olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic and red wine vinegar. Throw into food processor and hit go! Great on pitas or veggies and healthy too!

  • Vegetarian here....was a Vegan for a while. I try to eat very limited animal products, and cook 75% vegan most times. People don't realize that vegan does not always equal healthy...oreos' are vegan for goodness sake :laugh: I love the above white bean hummus, going to try that this weekend. I try to have a ton of cut up celery, carrots, cucumber available (keep them in ice water in the fridge)...good to dip in humms acutally. Chocolate almond milk!!! I love it, and it is perfect for after a hard workout. I sometimes throw it into a blender with a frozen banana and some peanut butter :wink: Raw nuts, just a handful will do. Ummm....green tea with a little Agave, vegetarian baked beans on toast with a little Earth Balance, miso soup (I buy the paste and just add hot water), oh....take a frozen banana, lightly thaw it out, and run it through a food processor or blender=banana ice cream!!! That's it for now...I now I have more :flowerforyou:
