Yard Work Calorie Burn

I pruned my apple trees for about 2 hrs. So about 100 mins total (after a 20 mins rest in the sun.) Self.com says I burned 944.61 calories. That seems a little high. I mean I was active, climbing the ladder every couple mins to reposition and I was always reaching and sawing at my neglected tree limbs. Anyone have an opinion on how to somewhat acutely tally my calorie burn?

I have equated yardwork to a walk, say 2.5-3.0 mph depending on how I accurately perceived my heart rate. This has worked for me. I would rather underestimate than over estimate.0

Hmm many I will slap on my HRM when O attack the blackberry bushes that are taking over my back yard. I am curious because I know swinging a machete gets my heart doing. :laugh:0

Yardwork, chores, running around town like a chicken with it's head cut off, etc --- I don't concider that to count as calories burned0
