Question for the women

So this week Aunt Flo has come for a visit.
And I CANNOT stop eating! I never feel full! My dinner was salad.. and it was 500 calories and I'm still hungry!
I havent worked out yet today, cause I'm still at work.
So question is... do I eat? And if I do, what should I eat? Or do I just tough it out?

Have you had any fiber? What about healthy fats (like avocado and nuts)? These will make you feel satiated. If you're hungry, grab a light snack with fruit and a source of protein like non-fat Greek yogurt or cottage cheese. If you do plan to work out, you should definitely eat so you have fuel.0

Just went through that last week. I walked when I wanted to eat, plus I gave into my cravings for salty/sweet stuff by substituting lower calorie versions of what I wanted...popcorn, sugar free fudgesicles, and i drank more water than normal. I lost a pound.0

I had the same problem and I did eat, but I ate low calorie foods....fruits and vegetables, greek yogurt, granola bars. Good Luck!0

I say eat...something good like yogurt and/or fruit...If you are hungry, not only will you be distracted, but you will be tempted to eat the bad stuff.0

Eat. All bets are off when that time comes around. Your body will regulate itself after your period, just like it does day to day when some days you feel really hungry, and some you just can't find the desire to eat all of your allotted calories. In the meantime, eat vegetables (carrots, broccoli, lettuce, etc) and drink lots of water to see if that helps.0

Totally doing this next week when mine visits. Great advice!0 -
On average try to drink lots of water, get more fiber and if necessary, increase your 'good' fats (ie: raw nuts & seeds, peanut butter, raw coconut milk, avocado, hemp hearts, ground flax seeds, chia seeds).
Because you're at work you probably don't have access to hot air popped popcorn without all the dressings, so I would opt for a small handful of nuts and seeds (8-20) and drink lots of water.0 -
I've drank 9 glasses of water. And have eaten well today. I even ate air popped popcorn! Unfortunately, I'm craving sweets. However I might be able to curb it with peanut butter and jelly. Or no calorie flavored water. I don't get off until 11, so itll be a late workout tonight.0

I felt like climbing the walls last week because of that reason, but because I am really focussed on winning the challenge at the gym (only 1 more week), I just sucked it up and drank lots and lots of water and worked out whether I wanted to or not (and used some distraction techniques), I lost 1.6 kgs (3.5 pds) in the week.

I feel your pain! I did a brisk walk to "earn" extra, might have to do another one before bed...0
