My kids wanted Five Guys burgers for dinner tonight. I took them, ordered, and sat in the restaurant while we waited for the takeout smelling all those amazing smells...

And when I got home I cooked my planned, healthy dinner. :)

(I know a burger isn't the devil or anything, I'm just too early into this thing to be anything but 100% on point.)

Great self control. Everyday at my dealership, there are donuts available for employees & customers. Its getting easier to just walk by them. At first it was hard. But being heavy with high blood pressure isn't an option anymore.

Good for you! Seriously! That's some mega restraint! I stay as far away from 5 guys as I can. I don't think I could have walked away like that. You are my hero for the day. YAY!

No, dude, that's great! I don't go in there because everything is so greasy but I could easily fit into my day calories-wise. I understand staying away!!! Right now, I'm staying away from everything just to get my willpower back!!

Why would you let your kids eat that though?

To the person who asked why I would let my kids eat a burger:

Because they're kids. They eat a healthy breakfast, I pack them a very healthy lunch, they have healthy snacks... And they didn't get fries. (So there! )

And like I said in the original post, a burger every once in a while is not the devil. It's multiple burgers, ordered at a drive-thru, 3 nights a week that's the devil.

Watch Fat Head and I swear that it will change your life and the way you look at food. You will be so sad when you think of all of those low fat meals that you ate, and all the burgers that you passed by. The movie is free on netflix and hulu. SERIOUSLY.
