Oh my snooze button....

Recently I have been having a wicked hard time waking up in the mornings. It feels worse than usual. We all don't exactly like it when our alarm goes off bright and early and we have to jump out of bed... but recently, it has been SO hard for me to get up. This never use to be a problem for me, I never use to touch my snooze button even once, but now my snooze button is my best friend. I was wondering if anybody had any tips or particular things they do to help them get up and moving in the mornings. I could really use the help and advice! I know the basics of what you are suppose to do to wake up refreshed, go to bed early, get plenty of sleep, etc etc. But is there anything that you do in particular to help you fight the morning grogginess? Like i said, this NEVER use to be a problem for me, but now it's terrible.
Thank you!!

HAHA my phone is my alarm clock and this morning i hit snooze and set the phone next to me... next thing i know i am peekingout of the corner of my eye to see the clock say 7am (that is what time i am suppose to be AT work)... i rolled over on top of my phone and never heard the 2nd alarm....
i have a friend who has 3 alarm clocks and her phone and places them around her room so she has to get up to turn them off LOL0 -
I use my phone and set different ringers occasionally from the day before, which is usually enough to scare me awake in the morning with a loud noise right by my ear! :laugh:0

i get up at 4:30 am to work out so i completely understand. i put my phone (my alarm) in the bathroom so i am forced to get out of bed and get moving to turn off the alarm. Waking up sucks but you dont get restful sleep after you are initially awake so hitting the snooze only makes you feel groggy.0

My alarm clock is clear on the other side of the room, you could try that. I usually use the alarm on my cell phone. It's set for 4:20am, then I have a 10 minute snooze and wake @ 4:30am for the workout. Sometimes I put the cell phone across the room while charging too.0

The harder you workout, the tireder you get. Go to bed earlier0

Hey Peyton, any chance you're from New England? Couldn't help but pick up on the "wicked hard". I'm from Maine so I hear this saying ALL the time without the R, of course.
Anyway, back to your question. Any chance you're drinking caffeine or alcohol near bed time? Both can interrupt sleep and make it harder to get up in the morning. I personally can't drink coffee after noon or I'll be up half the night.0 -
Thank you so much to everyone for your suggestions! I am definitely going to try a few of them out.
I love the idea of multiple ringers and putting my alarm far away from my bed. Thanks again everyone!
@NayShel -Yes I am from New England, lol!! Its so funny you could tell just from a post. Guess we are pretty characteristic with our wickeds. I am actually from Maine as well, and wicked is pretty much every other word in my vocabulary! Its bad! haha0 -
I bought a dawn simulator alarm clock. You set the alarm for the time you want to get up. Then 30 minutes before that time, a light slowly gets brighter and brighter and wakes me up before the buzzer goes off. I hate being jolted awake! I never thought the light would wake me up, but it does! I can't remember the last time I woke up to a buzzer. It's a less stressful way to get out of bed in the morning.0
