Just a question as to why that seems so hard to do with some folks?

I really can get by without having thread after thread here on a lady having her TOM but can manage to live and let live and understand that it is important to the person posting it. (just an example of something a guy probably doesn`t care for)
Easy enough to just keep looking for other points of interest but I guess that is just me,I don`t report it or ask it be locked.

Sheesh sometimes,there was a thread on Motivation and Support that was asking folks to not send rude PMs to people because they thought their AVs were somehow inappropriate and without word or warning it was locked.
There was nothing even close to being beyond PG-13 posted so is it fair to think it happens instantly the moment one or two people decide to be offended and fuss about it?

    I am with ya! This site has so many unique people of different opinions. If you do not like something, simply move on. Why O why is that so difficult for some people. You are NEVER going to agree with every post, thread or opinion on here, just continue on until you find what suits you, don't ruin it for someone else.
    From what I can tell most users are adults, do not act like a shocked school kid who just herd a bad word on the bus! Get serious.

    So many people are intolerant and it rules their life. It's actually pretty sad that so many people waste so much of their time going after things that offend them instead of focusing on what pleases them. What a horrible way to live.

    I am so happy my parents raised me to be accepting, compassionate, crude, outspoken, and freeeeeeee!

    They recruited them, but I haven't seen anything announcing that they're trained and active yet.

    I have no idea if they do now yet or not...there was a call out for volunteers a month or more ago.

    I serve as a mod on a political forum,much smaller in number then this but you can imagine how "interesting" it can get at times,and that is with people that more or less agree.
    The first rule is that unless it is obvious when in doubt you take no action other then if felt warranted bring the complaint to the entire moderator/admin staff to discuss and decide.

    If there isn`t yet a behind the scenes forum only viewable by mods then there should be as well as a certain hierarchy of decision making authority.
    It means having to take yourself out of the ebb and flow of the forum so have no interest in doing it here.

    I think a required reason for locking the threads would be helpful, for those that seem to have no reason for being locked.

    but I find myself losing patience with the people who complain about the smallest thing. Really, try to be a little more open-minded.
