i know the shred works for most people but does it work for the people who have 10-15 pds left to loose who are having a hard time loosing anything..inches or pds, cause thats me.
i started the 30 day shred and completed L1 but had to stop cause i got an inner arm tattoo and had to wait for it to heal. but i had 0 results by the end of L1.
im thinking about starting it up again but is there anyone out there like me, who had results? if so, what were they?
any before and after pics???

I have 13 pounds left to lose and I just started a 30 day Jillian shred challenge, with before and after measurements. We are doing it for 30 consecutive days to see what changed happen. It stars Friday, April 1! Join us!?!!0

If you are that close to the goal diet becomes the primary thing to look at, particularly sodium intake. Look into making sure that you are really nourishing the body with good vitamin and fiber intakes.0

I don't own the 30DS (my friend does and she's away) but can I join the group and do Ripped in 30??0 -
I have 13-18 lbs left (depending on whether you go by my scale on Sunday or on Monday--5lbs in a day??? really??? ugh) and am struggling. I was thinking of starting the Shred again. I did it once, and didn't get the amazing results everyone else did, but I'm wondering if maybe I was measuring wrong, etc. So I'm hoping that this works better the second time around, probably coupled with some jogging. The other thing I was considering is her 30 lb slimdown, which is a program that is a combination of a couple of her videos. If anyone knows any other tips, let me know!!!!0

This is 100% true. You can work out all you want, but those last 5-15# will stick with until you clean up your diet. Focus more on eating whole/real/clean foods and staying away from anything that is processed. Load up on veggies and lean protein, keep your carb complex and eat them around your workouts.0 -

Is the amount of sodium that MFP goes by a good indicator, or should it be lower?0 -
gah im soo bad with food, i dont mean i eat crap all day but im just soo picky..ive gotten tons of recipe ideas on here and dont like any of them. i can only eat so much chicken!.i have alot of steamed veggies or some carrots, celery-fresh to snack on, some fruit, chicken, whole grains, whole wheat, lots of special k stuff, but as far as eating no processed foods or haveing a super duper great diet of healthy stuff, i just came seem to make it happen, i need lunch and dinner ideas but i can never find any ones i like.0

What a doctor will tell you is you dont need more then 1500mg of sodium a day.0 -

I think the slimdown is good because it incorporates more cardio than just the shred.
For me, I only have lost inches while doing the shred. I just started it so I'll let you know in another few weeks if I see any results. I am doing day 6 of level 1 tonight. However, I plan to start the C25K on Monday so that will include cardio on top of the shred, which might alter my results.
I have about 4-5 pounds until my first goal but will likely change that once I can get to 140lbs. I would like to be a bit lower but would just like to make the 140 first. However, inches lost will be huge at this point cause I have too much flab for my liking.
Give it your all and push through. Wait until you are healed from your tattoo and do the whole shred. Don't quit if you don't see results fast enough...trust that they are happening, just not to where you see enough of it. I know the one time I finished the shred I lost 0 pounds, but when I turned to cardio afterwards, the pounds dropped quickly since I had more muscle because of the shred.0 -

Have you looked at some of the Boca, morning star and Kashi brand stuff? High protein and fiber and natural.
also do you like salmon?0 -

Do you like mexican food? You can make a taco salad (w/o the taco, or very little). It's easy and quick. I have a lentil spaghetti sauce recipe that's pretty good if you like spaghetti. Also I've started seasoning everything with different things so things don't get boring. I got really burnt out on chicken and veggies for a while, but it makes it more interesting if they are seasoned differently.0 -

i eat the morning star grillers and dont eat any seafood
and to ohohraptor- i like mexican in small amounts, if i do a taco thing then i can have it 1 time in like a 2 week span, i actually make the roasted corn and bean tostada on the special k site, and id take that lentil spaghetti recipe0 -
Yeah I did the Thirty Day Shred...to be completely honest it was more like "Twenty Day Shred" but I did a week on each level. I think it's a great program for strength training and it really helps in toning but as for weight loss, this is ineffective on its own. Though I'm no Jillian Michael's I recommend doing this in addition to cardio if you're going for weight loss...0

Yeah, MFP definitely allows for sodium overload! It's not recommend to eat over 1500mg a day and if you eat even moderately healthy it would be hard to surpass that intake. I rarely if ever exceed 800 and that's on a pasta day. As for sodium, try to get beans with no salt added, the same with tuna, and watch the cheese. I also get low sodium vegetable broths too; and whenever possible brown pasta and rice. I was surprised to see how many things offered a 'no salt' or 'low sodium' option once I started looking for it.0

I love the morningstar stuff! Amy's Kitchen has some good vegetarian frozen dinners, and they are lower in sodium than most frozen stuff, although i would still try to eat them sparingly. I'll get the lentil spaghetti recipe to you as soon as I can find the book. My son likes to hide things.0 -
