Is my scale retarded?

So I'm quite pissed at my scale. This morning I weighed myself at 283.0 but for poops and giggles I weighed myself after lunch (mmm salad) and weighed 3 times and it said 281.6 ---wth??!
It doesn't make any sense. Why would I weigh less? I also exercised so I would think I would weigh more from fluid retention?

I highly doubt your scale as a chromosonal abnormality or brain injury.0

Our weight fluctuates 2lbs daily...btw you may want to change the title of your post...you might offend some people with the word "retarded". Not trying to start a war but It isn't a very nice word to use negatively.0

lol try mine, switch the position of where it sits on the floor and it can vary by up to 6 pounds. I don't trust scales I go to measurements as a better method.0

Different times of day cn produce different results due to food ate, clothes worn, number of times gone to bathroom, etc. That's why you pick the same times of day to weigh yourself - preferably in the morning after going to the can but before getting dressed.0

I know it's hard to resist doing, but try not to weigh more than once a day, and even then, do so at the same time each day. Weight can fluctuate by a few pounds throughout the day. I don't know which to count though. I only change my weight journal one day a week.0

I know what you mean about scales............I took a peek at my scales last night and they said 190lbs then on my actual weigh in day (today) they said 192lbs! I was tempted to record yesterdays weight but then I would only be kidding myself - right??0

I always weigh 2 lbs less after exercise. it depends on your body. You can fluctuate 4-6 lbs during a day. You're supposed to drink 17-20oz of water after exercise for every lb lost.0 -
Well. Speaking of "poops and giggles" maybe that's what caused the drop.0
