Could use some encouragement

I could use some support right now. My husband has been in Iraq for 18 months (we saw him every 5 months) and will be home in 18 days. I feel like these last few days are going by so slowly! I had lost so much weight, then a series of health problems (bell's palsy, extremely invasive testing for said bell's palsy, anti-depressants, and a tubal pregnancy) caused me to gain practically all the weight I lost. I feel like a failure for having lost the weight and then gained it all back, and was wanting be at my goal weight before my husband returned home for good. Now he's coming home and I'm back where I was when he left, and though it's going by slowly, 18 days is not enough time to get back where I was. Grr!!!

I'm sorry that you have had so many things get in the way of your weight loss! As dissapointing as it may seem to not be at your desired weight when he gets back...you have the rest of your lives together to get it done the right way! Get past the setbacks that life has thrown at you and start getting ready for everything wonderful that is to come. Starting at this very moment with the mindset that you can make a positive change in yourself before he gets home will do wonders for your morale. 18 days may not be enough to get you back to where you were, but is certainly enough time to make a good start! Throw yourself into your diet and exercise with a vengence and maybe those 18 days will go by quicker then you think and you'll have made more progress then you though possible as well. Good luck to you!
  • Ohh no I think he will understand what you have been through. You have been through alot and you need for your body to be healthy again before you start thinking about losing weight. I am certain that he shall love you the same and be so happy to see you despite any weight loss/ gain keep your chin up! I actually went from 105 to 153 and gave birth to a boy then a couple weeks after giving birth found out I was pregnant after I was down to 128lbs then after 7wks plus of pregnancy I lost the baby only to get pregnant immediately after that and I went to a total of 160 lbs now it has been 15mths since I gave birth and I am 129/130 the last 20 lbs is so very hard with time constraints when it comes to working out and lack of motivation. I am determined though to try again. Keep smiling perhaps we can motivate each other !
