Take it the way you like it. There is no significant effect on metabolism.0

I have not heard either of those things. Dont think it matters.0

I also heard that cold water helps with your metabolism because your body has to heat the water but I drink mine ice cold because I think it tastes better!0

Your body has to work harder to be able to absorb the water to hydrate your cells when it is cold. This is where people say that drinking cold water makes you burn more calories. This is because for your body to absorb and use the the water in your body, your body has to heat it up to body temperature.
Ice cold water shocks your system and is not good for the body, just like getting any kind of shock isn't good for us.
Personally i enjoy tempid water, but that is not to say that you will harm your body by tossing in a few ice cubes either.0 -
I can only drink ice cold water and that's all I drink. If it gets warm I dump it. I have heard about the body having to warm it up, but not sure if I truly believe it...0

I think its an old wives tale, I have been told when you are already hot (like when I was in marching band in wonderful 120 degree Phoenix AZ Heat) room temp water is best so as not to shock your system but honestly if its not cold I get sick, especially when Im already hot0

It does not matter. If you are severely dehydrated or close to heat shock then room temperature is safer but it will not change your metabolism.0
