I bought a belt right before starting MFP a couple of weeks ago because my jeans started to get a little baggy. It was tight on the first hole, but I was trying to lose weight so i got it. This morning I tried the second hole and was so excited. Tonight I tried the third hole for kicks and it was fine. I am so excited. I am down 7 pounds so far. Friday is my weigh in day so here's hoping some more loss.

On another note I also joined a fitness club for the summer. The membership starts on May 15th, and I can't wait to start. This is my first time joining a gym but I am so excited.

Good for you! I have a similar story!
Used to use the 2nd hole at my heaviest, the 3rd when I was thin. Just realized I am using my 4th hole and have dropped a jean size this week. Lost 15 lbs total!

That's cool! I remember my wife making fun of me cuz I'd just take out my drill & make a new hole. My belt looked pretty shabby by the time she got me a new one. Not sure if I should've been proud of my success or embarassed at my miserly tendencies.

Yup, belts are one of the best ways to monitor progress. 2 Months ago I had one custom made for me by a saddle shop because I couldn't find one to fit. Last week I removed the buckle and cut 5 inches from it after the last hole wasn't small enough. (I cut from the buckle end so I didn't have the 50 holes on it)

What a rewarding feeling for all who see the changes happen before our very eyes!!
