PHOTO food journaling!

Hi!
I'm Brittany, and I've had the MyFitnessPal app on my iPhone for a good few months now, but never visited the site. But, the other day, a brilliant (albeit already done) idea dawned on me: to photograph each morsel of food (with the handy iPhone) that passes my lips!
So, starting tomorrow, I'm going to renew my weight and measurements first thing in the morning and for the rest of the day, will faithfully log all food. Even those secret snacks I sneak. Hopefully, knowing that any passer-byer will be looking at my sin will motivate me to cut down the sweets and fried foods. (;
If someone would like to join in, please do! I'd love a partner or five in this. (:
My goal is to ideally lose 15 pounds. However, losing 10 would be just wonderful.
Also, I'm trying to up the daily exercise so I'll be throwing that in at the bottom of each post too.
To anyone struggling to lose those stubborn last ten pounds (or those hundred), good luck. I hope this works for me, and maybe it'll work for you too.
See you tomorrow.
P.S: If this is in the wrong forum, I'm sorry and please repost it in the correct area. If it's not allowed at all, then... boo! Haha. I need somewhere to post this in a public place that's NOT my facebook. (; But anyways, if that's the case, I apologize for that too and I'll take it elsewhere. (:

DAY 1
Starting stats:
135 lbs
26.75" waist
37.75" bust
37.75" hips
EXERCISE:
2.5 mile jog/walk in about 30 minutes this morning
BREAKFAST:
Okay, this isn't technically breakfast but just to show you how my morning started: by spilling coffee everywhere. Yaaay.
My post-workout breakfast. An apple and a low-fat cheese stick.
SNACK:
Ahhh yes, my love affair with over-sugared coffee chain beverages. This is a tall cocoa cappuccino with soy milk. It was meh.
LUNCH:
Uh-ohhh... I went to the worst place for dieters: Cheesecake Factory. But I was celebrating my birthday so I get a day...!
This was the Incredible Eggplant Sandwich. I substituted wheat bread, and broccoli for the fries. And then split it in half. So I don't think it was as bad as it could be, but probably still pretty calorically high. Not as high, however, as the calories I ate in the Kahlua cheesecake I had for dessert! (not pictured because my battery died, oh no!) I only ate half. (;
DINNER:
I shouldn't of been hungry after all that lunch, but I got some pangs around six so I had a banana aannndd....
100 calorie SmartPop! My fave snack.
DESSERT:
Two desserts in one day...?! I'm mad! Haha. I was bad today! This is a lemon-berry something-or-other from the Cheesecake Factory. Again, it was split in half, but still unnecessary. Soooo good though. (:0 -
OMG, this is hilarious! Love it!
Ok, where are your greens girl????? You crack me up!
You should start a national blog girl!0 -
This is the worst I've eaten in days, I promise...! Haha! What you'll let yourself get away with for birthdays n' holidays, huh? (;
Hopefully my color palette will be more green tomorrow. (the broccoli today was delicious, though!)
Thanks! Maybe I will. This is too fun! Although I'll shrink the future entries down a tad, I think... But thanks for the support!
Come by and shake your finger at my bad eating some more tomorrow...! (;0 -

Gotta play catch up! I've been super busy the past few days, but I finally have a moment to get caught up. I've been faithfully photographing everything I've eaten, and I think I see my problem: quantity. I think a lot of people can relate! Anyways, here's Day 2, and in a moment, I'm going to do a separate post for Day 3, and with some luck, at the end of the day, one for Day 4. (:
This is an atypical breakfast for me, but I thought I'd mix it up a bit: strawberry non-fat greek yogurt with a handful of lightly salted mixed nuts. Can't be too bad, right?
Mid-morning snacks for today was a banana. That didn't quite satisfy me so I also grabbed sommmee...
Greek-style orzo! I was feeling particularly Mediterranean today. This is a small serving of some orzo pasta, with a melody of yummy veggies: artichokes, cucumber, tomato, red onion... There's also a sprinkling of feta cheese and kalmatta olives. I don't know the calorie content of it, but I'd estimate this serving size is about 150 calories.
Sooo this is definitely my weird taste in food coming out. I honestly can eat anything, good, bad or otherwise. This is some stuff I threw together just to say I ate. It is: carrots with some hot mustard for flavor (I'm a weirdo, I know haha.), 1/4 cup of edamame, and light chunk tuna with soy sauce. It wasn't the best, but I ate it. (;
For mid-afternoon snack, I grabbed an apple and tapioca pudding. I really wanted to eat today! And then my boyfriend surprised me with a trip to Target, and that has a Starbucks attached to it, sooo I grabbed another Starbucks. Not pictured because we've all seen the Starbucks cup. (; It was a tall cappuccino with soy.
Dinner was weird: I really wasn't hungry. But my boyfriend was so I made him a sandwich with some garlic loaf from Wal-Mart and bacon, lettuce, tomato, etc. I nibbled on the bread, and ate two slices of bacon. (pictured post-bacon-eating haha)
My real dinner was a small bowl of Frosted Flakes with 2% milk.
None today! Uh-oh. ):0 -
Day 4!
My normal post-workout breakfast! Too bad I didn't exercise today haha. (; I thought I was but y'know, some days you just don't have it in you. Anyways, this is non-fat cottage cheese with half of a vine-ripened tomato mixed in. I threw in an orange (Cuties) for sweetness.
This is me, eating an apple, looking out of my second-story window at the gorgeous day! It was so beautiful. Unfortunately I didn't get out in it too much. But it was nice.
This is my go-to snack when I want protein: pepperoni! Although I should start buying the turkey kind. This is so high in fat and calories!
Remember that garlic loaf I made my boyfriend's sandwich with yesterday? Well... I'm a total carb-junkie! So I just tore off about a third and ate it for lunch. Haha! No wonder I can't lose weight. (;
Mid-afternoon snack was some leftover orzo from yesterday, and another 1/4 cup of edamame. A little later I had some greek nonfat yogurt.
I wasn't terribly hungry so I just had some Progresso hearty chicken noodle soup. And even then I didn't eat all of the noodles.
None today! I woke up with good intentions though. (;0
