Hey everybody. I joined a while back because there's a mobile app for Android, but I'm only now seriously getting back into examining my health. I have a lot of mental stuff going on, and have been told that focusing on my body with healthy eating and exercise will alleviate a lot of the stress. So here I am. It's Day Three and I think that, so far, I'm doing pretty well. New friends would be great. Motivation is much appreciated. Oh, and I have a blog on tumblr to chronicle my fitness journey. It's pretty and stuff, or at least I think it is. If you have a tumblr, follow me! http://gloryorhumiliation.tumblr.com/

Yey it's only been my third day using this site. I have been writing it down for the last week. I like the Andriod app. Good Luck.
PS: ur food looks a lot better than mine. But i'm a guy and don't really know how to cook... :P0 -
LOL. Cooking is the hardest part. I'm so often tempted to use the microwave. The key is to keep it simple and have patience. And be willing to do the dishes. I usually cook for my entire apartment, and then force them to do the dishes afterward...so that's a plus!0

I wish you well, and your doctor is so right.
Getting on track with my diet and programs has really helped me cut out some of the doctors meds.
Acid Refluxs was one of them.. Now I know what to eat, and I haven't had an issue in months.
Also. I had a small thyroid issue and no longer need meds for that. It was just mild, but the right diet and advice from doctors really helped me release all that stuff.. Sometimes all it takes is 15 to 20lbs of weight loss to get you on the road to healthy doctor reports..0 -
Thanks, DaveinPgh.
LynPetty93: That is AWESOME. I'm so glad to hear it! My problem leans more toward the road of mental health...I've been diagnosed with clinical depression and PTSD, and I really, really don't want it to get to the point that I have to take medication. I'm hoping that more rigorous exercise and a better diet will regulate things like my sleep schedule, which has become incredibly erratic, and my general mental health--pulling me out of the doldrums, if you will.0 -
I have a couple relatives with mental health issues. I am definitely not an expert, but you will likely be much better off if you can gain some stability without medication. One relative is constantly getting her meds adjusted because of the side effects.0

And that is exactly what I want to avoid. It sounds like hell.0
