Frustrated too soon

I am very frustrated. I cannot eat my 2100 calories or whatever each day they say I can have. I cannot "eat back" my exercise calories. Yet I have not lost weight in the three days and I am thinking it is because my body is in "starvation mode". I mean I exercised for 70 mins yesterday! I have only been doing this about a week. Any thoughts?

1 - you should not be weighing daily, it will just drive you mad.
2 - you dont need to eat back your calories after exercise
3 - just take your time, look at all the message boards and get inspiration but please

What is your height and weight? I've never seen a dailly calorie intake to be over 2,000, and for someone to still lose weight. My daily intake is only 1200 according to this plan, but as soon as I cut 400 calories I've noticed my weight on the scale is coming off. Also, what types of exercise are you doing? If your building muscles you will not notice any weight loss during your first week because your building muscle. In fact you may weigh more than you first started. Good luck!0

It is only 3 days. Step away from the scale (try weighing in once every 2 weeks instead)
Why is your goal 2100 calories, what did you choose as your weekly loss goal?0 -
I just started Monday and I haven't loss any weight either. I have been under my calories that I can eat too. I have exercised two days this week about 90 mins. yesterday Mat Pilates I, Tread Mill 35 mins. strength training no result. I
just take it a day at a time and if I do what the trainers at my Wellness Center tell me I am sure to lose something.
Do not be discouraged just keep trucking.
Do not weigh daily - yes that will drive you crazy , because I have been there done that. Think you are losing weight for the quality of life.0 -

1. correct
2. WRONG, in order to meet, not exceed your goal, you must eat your exercise calories. It is all based on math and MFP does this for you. As long as you calculate them correctly you should eat them back.0 -
You didn't gain it overnight...it won't come off overnight...but it WILL come off. I agree, open your diary so we can help. Drink LOTS of water, watch your sodium (going over that can make you "gain" pounds because of holding water. And seriously, I don't want to come across mean (I'm not ...but a week is just not enough time. PLEASE keep going and be patient. Have someone hide the scale for a week or so if you have to so that you don't weigh every day. Are you eating AT LEAST 1200 cal a day? Look at my profile if that helps...I have lost over 100 lbs and I'm 56 years old, I hate exercise and I have a very slow metabolism...if I can do it I seriously think anyone can if they set their mind to it. We all want to help.0

First of all, hang in there...we know what you mean! You have some good advice above so try to stay postive and patient. Before you know it you will be knocking the pounds down!0

I changed my weight loss goal and it lowered my calories to 1750 which is more doable. I had looked at some other posts and eating back your exercise calories were stated. Also, I am not sure how to "open" my diary. Thank you everyone for the input. I know I need to be patient. I know I didn't get here overnight. It was more a vent. Now I can breathe deep and go on...0

..only weight once a week @ around the same time of the day, same place and same attire (or closest you can get for all of them) Weight fluctuates on daily basis...0
