P90x

Options
Can someone tell me about this p90x, success stories? I joined the gym last summer, and between that and eating 1200 calories a day I've lost over 40lbs. I seem to be stuck in a rut with my last 15 pounds though and would love to lose it by July at the latest. I cant reduce my calories any more than I am and am finding it harder to get the gym lately due to committments at home so I thought the p90x would be a good way for me to kick my own butt into the losing the last 15lbs. I have no fear of working hard, losing the first 40 was harder than anything.

Congrats on your progress. With only 15lbs to go you should set your goal to lose 0.5lbs/week. The less you have to lose the smaller your caloric deficit should be. If your deficit is too large and you don't have much to lose you risk burning muscle, instead of fat, as fuel.

P90X is great, I have done the program, or modified version, 4 times in the past 2 years.

I started it last night and I can tell you it's one hard workout regimen; when I was done, I felt like a puddle of jello, but I have heard nothing but good things about it.

If you search the forums they are everywhere. I didn't lose any weight, but didn't really need to but I lost a clothing size. I've actually lost even more now with Insanity. Best of luck to you.

P90X is great...if you're not afraid to work hard, then do it. You'll get the most success by following the eating plan as well...it calls for WAY MORE than 1200 calories...because you're body needs fuel to work that hard. If you try to eat less on that intense of a work-out, you will crash and ultimately fail...so be wise. It doesn't work on a calorie deficit like most diets. Try contacting a Beach Body coach to get more info...they'll try to up-sell you, but stay strong, ask your questions, and only get what you need...don't get suckered into the gobbely-gook. Good Luck!!

I'm about to finish off Week 4 of P90X LEAN...! Since I have started this on March 7 2011...I have lost 5 lbs so far. Most of my weight loss was with 'Power90' the one before P90X...Whatever program you are usin' - its all about the mealplan on what you eat etc. I lost 22 lbs & 16.5" inches while doin' Power90...
best wishes in whatever you decide to do

P90Xis AWESOME! I am finishing up my 5th round in a week and a half and I will then be starting my 6th round. I have had incredible results from it. I will say that the weight I would love to ultimatley be at is probably not realistic for me because I am doing P90X and have gained a lot of muscle. But I have lost a lot of fat and have toned my body so I don't even look at the scale like I use to! So if you like to work hard and lift, then you will love P90X!! Best of luck to you!!!

P90X rocks. My husband and I just started our 2nd month of our 4th round. You can still do other workouts including extra cardio. You'll need some basic weights for your home workout. And the program comes with an eating guide.
