I have been on MFP for almost 5 months. I workout 4-5 times a week/cardio and have done the 30 day shred. I consistently stay under my calories (not so good about my sugars though) and I have lost NOTHING. my scale fluctuates about 3 pounds but nothing noteable. I don't have more than a couple of pounds to loose but I thought my body fat would have decreased and I would loose inches. what's wrong?

Well, not to be harsh but..... you are eating all junk.
There isn't a single fruit, vegetable, or complex carbohydrate or lean protein in your diet.
These are SO important for losing weight and for overall health. It's not just about calories-- you need to be eating QUALITY calories to see a change.0 -
not harsh at all....I knew it just needed to hear it. thank you.0

Yah - I agree, it's a matter of what you are eating now always how many calories consists in the food you're eating. I guarantee if you changed the types of food you were eating - stuck with more natural food instead of all the processed food you've been eating, you would start to not only see changes but to FEEL a lot better!0

wow, all that processed food is having a much bigger effect on your overall health that on your weight, be it gian or loss. Your diet is mostly restaurant food and usually fast food too. They put a lot of junk ingredients in that stuff.
It can be daunting to learn how to cook but you should start buying fresh food. Make a sandwhich from home and bring with you for lunch. Buy real fresh vegetables from the grocery next time you are there. Sauté soem vegetables from supper tonight for a change.
Chop up broccoli, onion and peppers. Put it in a pan with olive oil for 5-7 minutes. add pepper and serve with a steak or a chicken breast.0 -
Sugar could be your big contributing factor, along with what the others said about processed foods. I am a firm believer that all the junk in food builds up in our bodies. I eat junk too, but I try to have more good/raw foods than junk. One thing I don't like is I am having a Slim Fast shake for my lunch, and that is full of crap. I should stick to my V8 juice for lunch.
Watch your soups too. A lot of them have a ton of sugar.
Good luck and if you need help with cooking meals or ideas, let me know. I am new to this site and am trying to stay on track.0 -
Like others have said, I recommend that you try to cook more of your meals at home and avoid the restaurant foods. Also, I noticed that many of the days on your food diary seem to be incomplete. I'm not sure if they're incomplete because you didn't eat anything else or if you just didn't log what you ate. Remember to log everything you eat, even if it is "ugly." That way, you can go back and look at your food diary and see where you may be having trouble. I'm not perfect either (and sometimes forget to fill in my diary), but you need to be honest with yourself in your diary if you are going to be successful.
Good luck!=)0 -
Also, paging back in your diary a few weeks there are several days that you didn't track and many that look incomplete. If you aren't consistently tracking you might be eating more calories than you think.0

this is an eye-opener. Thanks to you all!0
