Cross training shoes?

Okay, I'm in desperate need of some new workout shoes! I need some that I can wear for all my activities. Currently, I'm doing Turbo Fire, and step aerobics, and I've just begun adding a little walking/jogging into my routine but plan to gradually add more. Would cross trainers be okay for the running as well as the other exercise? Or if I got running shoes, would they be okay for the other exercises also? Hmmm... I am so new at this.

I have the Adidas Fluid Trainers in black and pink and they are great for everything - really comfy and not too tight :)

I'm doing TurboFire as well. I was doing it in running shoes, but they didn't have enough impact absorption for me & my joints were paying for it. I went and got a pair of cross trainers & it has helped greatly. I'd suspect the cross trainers would be good to walk in, but not sure for running.

I was just going through this the other day! I went and was recommended Aasics by the sales person at Nordstroms, however, the arch support is really bad and you'd have to buy an insole. I got some New Balance and I have got to say, they are amazing! I do cardio and weights classes.

Since you are doing training and running, go for something closer to a running shoe for the right support. I would try New Balance, Brooks, Aasics and maybe Nike to see what works for your feet!

    Happy shopping!

Get two pairs: one for cross training and one for running. Ideally, running shoes should be just for running while your cross training shoes can be for everything else.
