I just joined MFP today I admit, i'm a little nervous about counting calories because I'm positive I'm eating way more than the recommended total. I started getting serious about my weight loss goals in January. I searched the net and began a running plan for a 5K in 6 weeks. I accomplished my goal on February 14 when i ran a 5K in 36:02. Yay me!! I'm trying to lose an additional 25 lbs. and have so far lost 8 lbs. this year. Not bad for someone who could barely run for two minutes before feeling like I was going to pass out.

    this site is definitely an eye opener. But its cool, as long as your honest with yourself, it will benefit you. Put in everything, even on the days you blow it. Its a great motivational tool. Good luck on all your goals.
