I've just brought this from Amazon, very excited I hoping it will help me get to or near my goal weight for my birthday.

Anyone got any tips / advice / words of encouragement?

Before and after pics would be great

Is there anyone else starting this soon? It'd be great to have a buddy to workout with xx

I just finished CLX - and I have to say, my tip is don't be afraid to lift heavy. There isn't a drastic difference in my before/after pictures (actually I don't really have a before picture, but I have a 30 day and 90 day). However, over the course of the program I lost 7 lbs and 5% bf. So, pretty good. That's along with a 30 hour per week job + full time student, so busy schedule and still seeing results!

I will be starting this weekend so we can do it together. I was waiting to receive my turbo fire but its taking a bit too long. I want this to be my April routine.

    Hi Beccy :)

I also just bought this from Amazon! I can't start for 3 weeks due to being away from home but I'll send you a friend request and I'll see how you are getting on when I get home, I'm really looking forward to getting started!

    Good luck

    Izzy xx

savvystephy - What size weights do you need? i've got the set of 3 davina weights from my other half for christmas which I use doing the shred and stuff but do you think they would be heavy enough? Its good to see that you are a busy person too, I have two young children so between school and nursery runs and working 30 hours a week and doing all the house work and stuff I dont have that much spare time but if you can fit it in I definately can!

Desirai - I would start this weekend with you but I've not yet received it. Apparently its been dispatched but they gave me the 9th till the 16th as a possible arrival date so im not holding my breath it will be here too quickly but I will be joining you as soon as I can!

Izzy62- Hey thanks for the friend request I havent got my disc yet so we will probably be starting around the same sort of time. Im planning on doing the 30 day shred this month in the mean time :)

Well, lets see - especially for the Push phase, you go pretty heavy. The heaviest I personally went (for my strength) was around 30-35 lb dumbbells in each hand for squats. I have a set of power blocks/sport blocks that I use. It really depends on your strength - because she wants you to reach failure by your last rep (when you can't do another rep because your muscles shake and you can't support the weight anymore.). So, it's a feeling that you have to start getting used to (which I have done lifting programs before, so I was familiar with that feeling before starting ChaLean Extreme).

I'm doing it right now, but have to catch up. I've been moving so that's been a mess for work outs.

During Push Circuit, the heaviest weight month, I generally use between 15-30 pounds. I could go a lot heavier for lower body work (up to 40+s), but I'm saving for a set of adjustables, so I will make do. You truly want to lift heavy enough to FAIL at the desired rep (10-12 in months 1 and 3, 6-8 reps in month 2).
