Does anyone have any nutritional information for Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. I've looked everywhere but could only find a few items on their menu. Thanks!

i looked for you and saw nothing also. Perhaps just call it a wash and don't eat there too often. I know they are not grand for nutrition but sometimes it's just nice to indulge
  • For what you'll be spending on dinner, just say screw it and enjoy =)

Just stick with plain grilled meat, all sauces to the side---go for the chicken or fish----and avoid potatoes or bread. Ask for lots f steamed veggies and you will have enjoyed a very healthy meal that should be around 300-400 calories

Why not pay for something healthy--:)

Even if you order healthy, your will walk out of there just as satisfied, and will feel better because you will not be over stuffed.

remember going out to eat is supposed to be more about the enjoyment of the company you are with rather than the food you are eating. Food needs to be viewed as fuel and not pleasure.

Try this link. Looks like some other mfp'ers have calculated some of the items already.

I was going to say the same thing.

Ruth Chris Steakhouse has fabulous steaks.

Get a steak and veggies. Have a salad to start your meal. Drink Water, coffee or Tea instead of Pop.

I usually get chicken, steak or sea food, steamed veggies and a caesar salad to start my meal. I drink ice water with lemon.

Eating out for me is more for enjoying some one on one time with my hubby and giving me a break from cooking.

  • Yeah, I saw both of the links you posted but neither has what I ordered. Thanks though!

    That's the best part....I wasn't paying! LOL
My boss took us out to lunch.
  • Thought I found one but no!

Well maybe if Ruth Chris is somewhere you can afford on a regular basis, sure thing. But I've never been there.. and if I ever go, it will probably be the first and last time. So from my perspective? I'd just order a steak and a side and enjoy my food, because it would be a very rare treat.

Going out to eat isn't "supposed" to be anything. That's just your opinion. I don't always see food as fuel. I can appreciate a good dinner now and again. I can enjoy good company at home or somewhere free.

Chances are you don't want to know. If you're really curios then post it up what you had and let us do some detective work.

But just an fyi they put a ton a butter on their steaks and the serving sizes are huge. There will be a lot of intangibles that won't be figured out like the marinade sodium content and exactly how much butter they used. And the sides are huge too...how else could they justify charging $8.25 for a side of broccoli or a baked potato?

Obviously they are known for their steaks. So get one! I'm sure they have a petite Sirloin which is probably your best choice for lower fat. Trim off any visible fat and enjoy your steak with a side of mushrooms, some steamed veggies or even a plain baked potato (I always top mine with the mushrooms). Enjoy your dinner!!

You can ask for your steak to be dry grilled with NO FAT...I always do.

That's true. But he already ate there yesterday and he might not have known about the butter. =/ I've ordered fish from there with no butter and it still came out with butter...had to send it back and wait for them to cook another while everyone else at the table ate. Not an ideal situation for a work lunch with the boss.
