What gives with water consumption?

So I've been really trying to drink water on a daily basis. I usually get in my 8-10 glasses no problem. A few days a little less.

Anyways, here's what I've noticed. Some days, I can drink a fair bit of water before having to go to the washroom. On other days (like today) I've only had 4 glasses and I've been there 3 times since getting up!

Could it just be I'm more dehydrated on some days, and need more?

I'm going to keep drinking it regardless lol. Just means more trips to the washroom I guess....

Could be dehydration... could be something else pushing on your bladder (full stomach?)

A healthy bladder is good though right? It means your flushing out your system.

I have this problem too. I have found days where I eat more carbs I don't need to go as often, but if its more protein then I have to more. Maybe the carbs absorb the water more? Could also be your sodium intake.

Could be that on some days you have had more salt than others.

Yeah makes sense. Now that I think about it, the days I didn't have to go as much (and drank the water) I did have salty foods or at least an increase than what I'm normally used to.

Consider yourself lucky. One bottle of water and I will need to go about every 15-20mins for about half of the day..lol
  • I drink my weight in oz of water which is 300. So I drink water all day sometimes crystal light. At first i went all the time after a while though you get use to the water and dont go as often.

Water is of most benefit when drunk slowly. If you down a bottle quickly it will leave your body quickly and not have time to hydrate the cells. So i have read anyway. Do you gulp it down somedays?

I'm thinking it has something to do with the amount of sodium you take in and body fluctuations..

Yes, I've been known to down a lot of it very quickly. Makes sense!
