What types of things can I do to get rid of love handles and upper thigh/buttock areas? A friend of mine just gave me her treadmill do you think it might help?

Cardio will help, but the only thing that will get rid of those stubborn fatty areas is diet, you need to reduce your BF%...then the love handles, and cellulite WILL go away....that is what I am working on now, that bit of cellulite that sits in the upper hamstring area right under the bum......0

Eat very clean, lift heavy weights. Your muscles will eat your fat to maintain themselves (in theory - I'm still trying to achieve this for myself).
I LOVE and HIGHLY RECOMMEND the book "The New Rules of Weight Lifting for Women" by Lou Schuler. Check out the raving reviews on Amazon.com if you need more convincing.0 -

Very true about the eating clean, and ur muscles will burn fat, as long as u stay out of starvation mode (1200 net calories a day for women and 1500 for men).....good luck!0 -
Walking & running is great for your lower body...legs, hips & butt. But like they say, you have to eat right too...it's an inside/out give and take that shapes your body. Joining MFP was a good move too! Welcome and good luck!0

All those things you mention are fat. So the more you loose the fat, the more they will disappear... get on that treadmill and work it honey0
