The difference between my night and morning weight is usually about 3 lbs. So yeah that I'd normal. I weigh myself usually right after I wake up and use the bathroom.0

I weigh myself in the mornings right after I wake up.0

I would take the morning weigh in because it's probably more accurate. If you weigh at night, you've probably still got a good portion of your daily food and drink intake in your belly. I always weigh in the morning, after using the bathroom, before eating or drinking anything!
Congrats on that huge #!0 -
Weigh in at the same time wearing the same thing or nothing at all. I have found that I fluctuate +4 lbs throughout the day.0

hi,it's medically advice to weight yourself in the morning before your breakfast if you want and you can go to the loo as well.so i think the 10pounds may be accurate.
well done!!0 -
I also weigh in after waking up after using the bathroom. I usually on weigh in 1 or twice a week that way I see higher losses and dont get as discouraged...
Way to go on the 10 lbs that is great Keep it up!0 -
I would say that morning. Good for you for losing the weight!0

SO I can say i lost 10 pounds in 10 days haha And i did it just by following my diet and exercising that is awesome news (unfortunately now that i lost all the water weight i know its gonna get a bit tougher )0

My weign-ins are on Monday morning - naked, after peeing, before eating. I do weigh myself occasionally throughout the week, but I never record the results. I only record the Monday morning result. Otherwise, my chart would be up-down-up-down-up-down...
You get a better feel for your progress if you weigh in once a week. Just my opinion!
7 or 10 pounds!!! Either one is great!0 -
I weigh in daily, after waking, and using the restroom. I wear the same thing each day (nothing).
It is very important to realize that even under such "constant conditions", there is significantly daily variation in body weight. Whether you weigh daily or weekly, weighing is like investing. It's better to take a big picture, long term view of your progress. Don't let daily fluctuations get you too frustrated or too excited. Look for how you are progressing over a week or set of weeks.
Good luck and keep up your great progress!0 -
I'm following the hacker's diet.... http://www.fourmilab.ch/hackdiet/www/hackdiet.html (This is a free online book written by John Walker in the 90s, never published)
I weigh myself every morning, nekkid.
I have a smart phone (android) and use the following app to track my progress..
http://www.appbrain.com/app/libra-weight-manager/net.cachapa.libra
There may be an app for the iphone that does something similar. What's unique about this app is that it tracks your weight over time using a moving average. This is nice because your water weight can vary quite a bit from day to day, but the moving average allows you to see that your weight is still on a downward slope in spite of the daily variations. It can help you deal with the inevitable plateaus. I would find a weekly weigh in, dangerous to my psyche, I've seen my weight vary up or down a couple of pounds from day to day. Were I to weigh in weekly and that particular day be an up day....eww.
Anyway, congrats on your 10 lbs, keep up the good work and remember it's a day at a time.0
