So can protein make you gain weight? I have been drinking Bluebonnet which has 26 grams of protein and no fat and only like 6 carbs and no sugar. I feel like I may have gained weight on it. But with only 120 something calories I didnt think this was possible. Does anyone know anything about this? =o)

So can protein make you gain weight?
Yes and No.
If your daily protein intake brings your calorie total over your baseline + exercise calories, then it will be metabolized as fat.
If your daily protein intake doesn't bring your calorie total over your baseline + exercise calories, then it will be used to build or retain lean muscle mass. If you are weight training and taking in enough daily protein, then yes, you will gain "weight" in the form of muscle mass. However, this will also cause your resting metabolism to increase, so you will burn more calories, and thus fat, in the process.
Of course, don't use this as an excuse if your weight increases or fails to decrease. Since women do not produce enough testosterone naturally, it takes much longer to add significant muscle mass.
Also, ALL of the above it true, regardless if the protein comes from powder, meat, eggs, fish, or soy.0 -
How much sugar is in those? I make my own with jillian micheals whey protein. I've still been losing weight.0

only if you drink up tons of calories...no macro nutrient will make you gain or lose weight, its calories.0

I think that if you take in too much of anything and do not burn it off it will turn into fat - that goes for carbs or protein.0

Not if you are making it fit in your calorie goals. I have drank protein shakes throughout my weightloss and it has been working for me. You just have to log it and portion it like anything else.0

No sugar. Only 6 carbs. I just feel more bloated after them and I've gained a lot this past month. 5 lbs! =o(
I am hoping counting calories again will help. But I was willing to cut out protein shake altogether if I had to.0 -
What are you mixing the shake with - water, milk ?0
