Ok. I'm one who would like to try some new things when it comes to having a glass of some cold creamy goodness! I can't have too much straight up cow milk (nonfat is what I have in everything) and my body is not a fan of Soy Milk. So what do you all think about Almond or Rice milks and all those other milks that are not cow or soy bean related?!

  • I am vegan so I am kind of partial to non-dairy milks. I prefer Almond Milk over soy, however I work at Starbucks as well and so I am pretty much stuck with soy :(

Almond milk is thin like skim milk, tastes pretty good. Definitely worth a try. However I don't know if it would replace that awesome feeling of a nice cold glass of milk.

When I don't feel like cows milk, I'll go for hemp or almond milk. Can't pay me to touch soy where I can get non soy options.

I love almond milk - the unsweetened one has around 40 calories and 2 carbs and almond breeze has some on the shelf for emergencies : ) chocolate is my favorite.

Natura Vanilla Rice milk is good. I can't have milk and I drink this instead. I enjoy it.

    Nondairy!

I am one who actually loves the taste of soy milk. I have been drinking it for 13 years now. When it comes to nondairy milks, brands vary a lot in flavor and texture, so I recommend doing a lot of experimentation. I love the Pacific brand of just about all of them - soy, almond, hazelnut, oat, rice, etc. Rice milk is probably my least favorite as it is too sweet for my taste and very thin. My favorite brand of soy milk is Organic Valley.

i prefer dairy, but everything now and then i'll get soy or almond milk :)
  • Thanks everyone for your input! I'll try almond milk first and see how it goes! I just feel that I could get more out of my day if I had something like that but didn't have the same old same old!

Also, which one really is healthier for you when it comes to calories and fat content?! I'll be shopping wed or thurs this week.
