:noway: I'm chuffed to bits that i've reached my first 'stone'
Now this is the odd part, i suddenly felt really down today like i wasn't doing enough, and that i really want to be losing more than my 1lb per week average...tried to pick myself up, went for a walk, had 2 sessions on my crazy fit, even went to the pool (no swim for me, kids only grrrr) so went for a 2nd walk, 5 minutes in, got an awful griping stomach pain (had to race back home)
Such and up and down kind of day, does anyone else have these?
Any tips how to increase my weekly weight loss. I exercise at least 5 days a week, eat 1200 calories, sometimes eating my exercise cals too. And generally drink 8 or more drinks, and am slowly swapping some of them for water....
Answers on a postcard please

Be patient. I know that when you put the weight on you didn't gain it at a rate of more than one pound a week. There is no magic to this. It takes patience, dedication, self-belief, and time. You can control all but the time. And yes, you should be eating your exercise calories. And yes, it is a very emotional journey. Don't beat yourself up, instead give yourself a big pat on the back for having to courage to do it.0

I actually changed my goal and eat more than 1200 calories now, and I have seen a loos of between 1 and 2 lbs a week. Most of us want instant results, so it is hard when it is coming off slowly. Just remember that the weight did not come on overnight, and it will not come off overnight (I have seen this comment many times on MFP). One thing I do is I step on the scale every few days, and love to see the number going down, even if it is .2 lbs. That reminds me that I am on the right track.
I think that each of us has been to that point you were explaining, I know I have (I hope I am on my way out right now ) This is where I would usually self sabotage and give up on it all. A day, or even a week, here and there of those days is not the end all be all, as long as you get back on track and remember why you started in the first place.0 -
Up your calories by 200 or so and change your exercise around abit. Top tip, when you get up in the morning either eat some pineapple or drink the juice of half a lemon (neat) to kick start your metabolism, then eat your breaksfast, lemon has to be done on an empty stomach. See how you go after a week, Im sure that you will see some changes0
